Good to know

Why is this called "Miss Snow Butterfly?" This design is inspired by my mom, Dianne Andrus Blackham, Miss Snow 1976, who helped me set up all my short-term rental units until she passed away on June 11th, 2024. She often said, “Movement is life.” In her final months, after becoming paralyzed, she confided in me that she felt trapped in her body, but it felt like she was a caterpillar in a cocoon. Almost like, she was preparing to transform into a butterfly. Now, every time I see butterflies, I’m reminded of her. On the day of her funeral, we released hundreds of butterflies—white, yellow, and black-and-yellow monarchs—that danced like fluttering flowers across the wind, filling the air and covering the grass. She instilled coping with life through creativity, inspired us with her music, and filled us with a secret ingredient: Love. She raised Five Eagle Scouts and a Miss Snow, transforming us as beautifully as she transformed herself. I wish I had more time with her, but in her last weeks she told me that if I wanted to visit her, I could find her at the temple. She reminded me that, families are forever, and I’ve felt that promise many times since she passed. When you look out the window what do you see? (Don’t say, popcorn popping on the apricot tree) Do you look down on others and their life? Or do you look up and to the mountains, the beauty and the temple? The Ephraim temple is less than a mile from here, So I feel extra close to her when I’m here. It is visible just under the S on the hillside. I hope you breathe in this moment, because time is precious. I hope your family can bottle up some love as you experience this beautiful spot in Ephraim, Utah.

Other Details to Note

Finding the entrance may feel a little tricky at first, but it’s simple once you know where to go! Head to the second door from the left at the front of the building—this is the only entry that leads directly to the elevator inside. For an easier arrival, we recommend familiarizing yourself with the building during daylight hours. We want to make sure your check-in is smooth and stress-free!
